“In memory of…” Op. 48 –
I had started working on this piece a few days before. Then I was walking in a park as usual and, while looking at some flowers, I found a suffering young sparrow unable to fly. I took it with me and I brought it home to look after it. Unfortunately, despite my devotion, the little bird did not survive. In the middle section of the piece, I expressed my grief for its death.
